Jennifer W. Levy-Tatum - Partner

Profile: Jennifer W. Levy-Tatum concentrates her practice in general real estate law and probate and estate matters. She handles commercial and residential real estate transactions, zoning and land development, and general real estate litigation. As a real estate attorney, she has handled multi-million dollar real estate transactions in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. She has litigated real estate cases in the trial courts and appellate courts. She has represented landowners before zoning hearing boards, planning commissions, city councils and taxing authorities in various municipalities. On the Probate and Estates side, she represents administrators, executors, and heirs in estate administration, will contests and general Orphans’ Court litigation. She is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Prior Legal Experience: Ms. Levy-Tatum joined the law firm of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll as a real estate associate immediately upon graduating from Widener University School of Law in 1997. From 1999-2010 Ms. Levy-Tatum managed her private law practice in Chester County, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in ten different counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has served as an arbitrator in the Chester County Court of Common Pleas since 1999. Ms. Levy-Tatum served on the Zoning Hearing Board of West Bradford Township from 2001 to 2009. Additionally, from 2003 to 2006, she taught paralegal studies at The PJA School in Upper Darby.

Additional Experience: Ms. Levy-Tatum currently serves on the Dean's Minority Advisory Council at Widener University School of Law and the Government Affairs Council of the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce. She was recently re-appointed to a three year term on the Chester County Women's Commission. For ten years, she served as the treasurer and chairperson of the Finance Committee of the River Village II Homeowner's Association at Shawnee-On-Delaware. She is a Fellow of the Life Underwriter Training Council and a Chartered Life Underwriter. In 2007 she was the endorsed Democratic Party candidate for Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County.
